Bean Burger Patties

Mexican Bean Mix purees into good burger mix.

Serve on a good bread roll, (maybe with some cheese melted inside the lid) with plenty of fresh salad and ideally, a big dollop of Satay Sauce or Hot Ugly Sauce, and maybe even some really good hot chips if you’re lucky.

NOTE: Use Sandy’s Mexican Bean Mix.

Instructions
  1. Simply blend and combine with breadcrumbs (or use cornflake crumbs if you want to make your patties gluten free).
  2. Allow to stand for ten minutes, then shape into 4 large or 6 smaller patties.
  3. Coat in more crumbs and fry in a hot pan for a few minutes on each side. Squish each patty gently with a spatula, then turn over carefully.
  4. Fry until brown and crunchy, then drain on paper towel before assembling your burgers.
  5. Alternately, bake patties on an oiled tray at 170° for 20 minutes, turning once.
